Biography
25 Sept. 1766–23 May 1851. Laborer, farmer. Born in Dutchess Co., New York. Son of Nathaniel Hatch and Axcez Parmalee. Moved to Topsfield, Essex Co., Massachusetts, by 13 May 1782. Served in American Revolution as a fifer, 1782. Married Elizabeth Haight, 23 Nov. 1789, in Ferrisburgh, Addison Co., Vermont. Moved to Lincoln, Addison Co., by 1820. Moved to Bristol, Addison Co., by 15 July 1828. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Pelatiah Brown, Nov. 1840, in Lincoln. Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, by 23 Dec. 1842. Ordained a high priest by Hyrum Smith, 9 Apr. 1843, in Nauvoo. Moved to Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, by 1850. Died in Pleasant Grove (later near Council Bluffs), Pottawattamie Co., Iowa.
