Biography
13 June 1822 or 1823–9 May 1907. Farmer. Born in Franklin Co., Ohio. Son of Daniel Avery and Margaret Adams. Moved to Worthington, Franklin Co., by Sept. 1825; to Perry, Franklin Co., by June 1830; to Colwell, Schuyler Co., Illinois, 1832; to Rushville, Schuyler Co., 1833; and to Lee Co., Iowa Territory, before Jan. 1840. Married Elizabeth Meeks, 31 Mar. 1842, in Lee Co. Moved to Bear Creek Precinct, Hancock Co., Illinois, before Nov. 1843. Kidnapped and taken to Missouri, 19 Nov.–13 Dec. 1843. Moved to Knoxville, Knox Co., Illinois, before 1850. Moved to Camden, Schuyler Co., after 20 Jan. 1851. Member of Camden Masonic Lodge and Camden militia. Died in Camden.
