Biography

16 June 1803–26 Feb. 1891. Farmer. Born at Chester, Washington Co., New York. Son of Daniel McBride and Abigail Mead. Married Mary Ann Anderson, 16 June 1833. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4 Mar. 1834, at Villanova, Chautauque Co., New York. Participated in Camp of Israel expedition to Missouri, 1834. Appointed member of Second Quorum of the Seventy, Feb. 1835. Lived at Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, ca. 1836–1848. Appointed counselor in Kirtland bishopric, 22 May 1841. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley, 1850. Returned to Kirtland, 1851. Settled at Fillmore, Millard Co., Utah Territory, by 1853. Appointed to serve mission to Europe, 1857. Served mission to England, 1867. Member of Millard stake high council, 1877–1884. Died at Fillmore.
