twelve 51/100 dollars in manner particularly specified in a certain note or obligation bearing even date herewith, executed by the said as principal and and as securities, said sum being payable six months after date, then and from thenceforth these presents, and every thing herein contained shall cease and be void, any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding.
