Oliver Cowdery handwriting begins. The headings designating the genealogy of the presidency are written in larger script in red ink. The information under the headings is separated into two columns and written in black ink that is now brown.
The autobiographical writings of John Murdock, the biological father of Joseph and Julia Murdock, indicate that the twins were born in Warrensville Township, which bordered Orange Township. The mother of the twins, Julia Clapp Murdock, died in childbirth. (Murdock, Autobiography, 9, 19.)
