Moved to Williamson, Ontario Co., New York, by 1810; to Pultneyville, Ontario Co., after 1820; and to Palmyra, Wayne Co., New York, by 1828. Married Harriet Rogers, 23 Dec. 1828, in Palmyra. Printed first edition of Book of Mormon, 1829–1830, in Palmyra. Served as village corporation trustee, 1831; clerk of village board of election inspectors, 1834; constable and collector, 1835; and town assessor, 1839–1841, 1843. Buried in Palmyra City Cemetery, Palmyra.
