2 May 18121–15 Oct. 1898.2 Mining superintendent, store clerk, teacher, farmer, ferry operator, tithing storehouse supervisor, Temple Square guide.3 Born at Enfield, Hartford Co., Connecticut.4 Son of Solomon Kingsbury and Bathsheba Amanda Pease.5 Moved from Enfield to Painesville, Geauga Co., Ohio, ca. Sept. 1812.6 Baptized into LDS church by Burr Riggs, 15 Jan. 1832.7 Ordained an elder, 23 July 1833, at Kirtland, Geauga Co.8 Served mission to eastern states, 1835.9 Ordained a high priest and appointed to Kirtland high council, 13 Jan. 1836.10 Married to Caroline Whitney by JS, 3 Feb. 1836, at Kirtland.11 Moved to Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, May–Sept. 1838.12 Joined exodus from Missouri, Jan. 1839, and finally located at Montrose, Lee Co., Iowa Territory.13 Appointed to Zarahemla high council, 24 Apr. 1841, at Montrose.14 Clerk in JS’s red brick store in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, 1841–1842.15 Wife died, Oct. 1842.16 Served mission to eastern states, 1843–1844.17 Entered Salt Lake Valley, Sept. 1847.18 Appointed bishop of Salt Lake City Second Ward, July 1851.19 Supervisor of tithing storehouse, 1865–1889.20 Ordained a patriarch, 25 Jan. 1883.21 Died at Salt Lake City.22
