Summary

Platted on school section number 16, one mile south of Warsaw, summer 1841. Quorum of Twelve wrote epistle to Saints, 26 Aug. 1841, inviting immigrants to settle in Warren. Willard Richards moved to Warsaw and sold lots in Warren, Sept. 1841. Joseph Fielding brought company of 204 British Saints immigrating to U.S. to Warren vicinity to purchase lots and settle, Nov. 1841. Antagonism from Warsaw residents prompted First Presidency to request that British Saints move to Nauvoo, Dec. 1841. Town never established.
