TO Joseph Smith—— GREETING:
WHEREAS, at a court of Probate, holden in and for said , at , on the fourth— day of June— A. D. 1841—, you were Chosen by & <​and appointed​> guardian of James Lawrence Nelson Lawrence Henry Lawrence Julia Lawrence and Margret. Lawrence a minors, M. Lawrence & S Lawrence of the age of fourteen years the ballance under 14 years; you are therefore, hereby appionted guardian of the said minor’s person and property; and authorised and required to do and perform all the legal duties of Guardian, aforesaid.
