Know all men by this presents that I Erie Rhoades [Rhodes] of the County of & State of Illinois am held & firmly bound unto of the & State aforesaid in the full Sum of twenty five hundred & Sixty Dollars Lawfull money of the the payment of which I bind myself my heirs & C.— The Condition of the above obligation is Such that whereas I the Said Erie Rhoades has this day Sold to a Certain tract or parcel of Land Lying in the Said County of & more particurly described as being all the North west quarter of Section nine of Township No. Six (6) North in range No. Eight (8) west of the fourth principle Meridin— Excepting thirty two acres on the South West Corner of Sd. quarter which is to run eighty rods north from Sd. South west Corner & to extend farenough west to make the Said thirty two acres— & Lines to run parilell with the Said Lot Lines of Sd. Lot— which will leave for the Said one hundred & twenty eight acres with the overplush that is in Said Lot— For the Sum of twelve hundred & Eighty Dollars as hereafter expresed (Viz)— one horse at one hundred Dollars ten hogs at thirty five Dollars & a Note of hand against of twenty nine Dollars making in all one hundred & Sixty four Dollars in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged— & the further Sum of thirty Six dollars to be paid in good merchantable trade at Cash price to be paid when Cauld for & the Sd. Erie to have a Chois [Choice] of any trade that the Sd. may have even Sheap So far as the No. of five— twenty dollars by the Sixth of April next fifty dollars in Sixty days fifty dollars <in> ninety days <three hundred & twenty dollars in one year from date>— three hundred & twenty dollars two years from date & three hundred & twenty dollars in three years from date all on intrest & intrest to be paid annuly— For the Seven Last mentioned payments [p.
