KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That I Joseph Smith of the county of and State of am held and firmly bound unto .—— of the county of and State of his heirs and assigns, in the sum of fifteen hundred—— dollars, for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, I bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents.
NOW THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That whereas, the said Joseph Smith—— have this day sold unto the said .———— a certain lot of ground, situated, lying and being in the county of — and State of , and described on the plat of the City of as being Lot No. two in Block No. Sixty Nine— and received in payment for said lot notes of hand bearing even date herewith, for the sum ofthe sum of twelve hundred dollars, and payable as follows, with interest:the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,— (The above described lot is generally known by the Lot)——
The interest for each and every note to be paid annually.
Now, if the said heirs, executors, or administrators shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid, the amount of said note with such interest as may accrue thereon, according to the tenor and effect thereof, when due, the said Joseph Smith binds himself, his heirs, executors and administrators, to make, or cause to be made, to the said ———— his heirs and assigns, a good and sufficient Deed for the above described lot so soon as the said Smith Shall obtain a deed of the same and then this bond shall become null and void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Given under my hands and seal this fourteenth day of January— in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two.
