This Indenture, Made, and Entered into, This Twenty fourth day of July in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty one between and his wife, of the County of and State of Illinois, of the one part, and of the County of and State aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said and his wife, for and in consideration of the Sum of Four Thousand dollars, to them in hand paid, the recipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, Sell, Convey, and Confirm unto the Said her heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the County of in the State of Illinois, viz:—
The South East fractional quarter of Section Two, in Township No. Six, North of Range number nine west of the fourth principal meridian. Containing one hundred and twenty three acres & 43/100 excepting from the above discribed land, the following, to wit: Block No. one hundred and fifty five and so much of Block one hundred and fifty six as is here, described: Beginning at the N.E. Corner of So. Block; thence W. to the N.W. Corner. 396 Feet: thence S. 114. F. 8 in. thence E. 148. F. thence S. 123. F. thence E. 248. F. thence N. 237. F 8 in. to the place of beginning— in . Together with all and singular the appurtenances there unto belonging, or in anywise appertaining. To Have and To Hold the above described premises unto the said < her> heirs and assigns forever. And the said and his wife, their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said her heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
