Demand $85.81 on a promissory note. November 27th 1840 summons issued to constable returnable on the 5th December 1840 at 10 o’clock A. M. entered into bond for costs.— November 28th returned Served by reading on the 27th to both defendants. December 5th 1840 no appearance or defence having been made, and the indebtedness being evident, it is considered that recover of defendants the sum of eighty five dollars and forty one cents debt and interest, and costs of suit taxed at three dollars and eleven cents. December 14th gave copy of judgment. December 23rd served by Esq. Sheriff.
