It is ordered by the undersigned Judge of the fifth— Judicial Circuit that a special Term of the Circuit Court be held at the Courthouse in the Town of in Ray County Missouri for the Trial of Maurice [Morris] Phelps and Norman Shearer on monday the 7th day of January next said persons being charged with the of Moses Ro[w]land and are for said crime now confined in the Jail— Done in vacation this 25th day of December 1838 Judge &c
The foregoing order was transmitted to me by the Judge of the Circuit Court and entered upon the record of this Court on the same day as the date there of W[iley] C Williams Clerk [p. 342]
