There are two entries recorded 13 and 20 February 1845 in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger for $5.00 for orders to George W. Langley dated 2 September 1844. This is the only extant $5.00 order for Langley dated 2 September 1844; it likely corresponds to one of those two entries. Langley’s account in the ledger notes eleven orders on collector dated 2 September 1844 totaling $34.00. This and the two other extant pay orders for Langley dated 2 September 1844 likely correspond to three of those eleven orders. Langley, 2 Sept. 1844–B; and Pay Order, William Clayton to Nauvoo City Collector for George W. Langley, 2 Sept. 1844–C.)
