There is an entry in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger, recorded 19 February 1845, for an order for Jesse Harmon for $1.00 dated 5 August 1844. There is another entry recorded 20 February 1845 for $3.00 for two orders. There are two extant pay orders for $1.00 for Harmon dated 5 August 1844; one order likely corresponds to the $1.00 entry, and the other order, along with a third pay order dated 5 August 1844 for $2.00, likely corresponds to the $3.00 entry. Harmon’s account in the ledger notes nine orders on collector dated 5 August 1844 totaling $21.00. The three extant orders also likely correspond to three of those nine orders.
