To the Hon City Council of the City of
Gentleman of the City Council we your Humble petitioners pray your Hon Body to Repeal the Ordinance Commonally Cal’d the Hog law the Reasons that we would assign is first that our is two new and thinly Settld Second it gives design<ing> men a pretext to impose upon the citizens third all Citizen will have the prevelege of Raising his or her own pork and numer<ous> other Reasons Could be adduced if Space would permit And pass Some ordinance that would make owners of all unruly Hogs accountable for damages done and we your petitioners will ever pray
