Pleas before the Court of Common Pleas, within and for the County of , and State of , on the sixteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five.—
Be it Remembered, that at this term of said Court, to wit; on the day and year aforesaid, the Jurors of the Grand Jury then and there returned &c. to wit; , John Slater, , Simeon Winchell Junr., Collins Morse, Dexter Otis, Thaddeus Cook, , , , Warren French, Julian C. Huntington, James Hathaway, Joseph Ely, and appeared at the bar of the Court and presented their against Joseph Smith Junr. for assault and Battery in the words and figures following, to wit;
