Whereas complaint had been made to me, the undersigned, by Joseph Smith, under oath, “that on the 9th day of March, AD. 1842, did, at his own house, in the aforesaid, conduct himself in a very indecent manner, both in language and behaviour, towards said Smith, contrary to the provisions of an ordinance entitled “An ordinance concerning vagrants and disorderly persons”— you will arrest the said , if he be found in your , and have his body before the Municipal Court, at 6 o’clock, P. M., of this day, at the office of Gen. — and you are hereby further commanded to summon the Aldermen and Recorder of this to attend at the time and place aforesaid to hear & determine said case.
