14 Nov. 1810–18 June 1888. Horse trainer and doctor, laborer. Born in Cavendish, Windsor Co., Vermont. Son of Freeman Nickerson and Huldah Chapman. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Apr. 1833. Married Mary Ann Richardson, Apr. 1834, at Cattaraugus Co., New York. Participated in Camp of Israel expedition to Missouri, 1834. Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, by 1843. Appointed to serve mission to Henry Co., Illinois, 1843. Moved to Hudson, Walworth Co., Wisconsin, by 1850. Joined Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Moved to Lyons, Walworth Co., by 1880. Died in Lyons.
