Biography
26 Jan. 1812–9 May 1893. Farmer, carpenter. Born at Madison, Madison Co., New York. Son of Asahel Perry and Polly Chadwick. Lived at Middlebury, Genesee Co., New York, beginning 1815. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1835. Ordained an elder, 7 Mar. 1835, in Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio. Married Eliza Brown, 25 Oct. 1835, at Kirtland. Member of Second Quorum of the Seventy, by 31 Dec. 1836. Stockholder in Kirtland Safety Society. Migrated to Missouri with Kirtland Camp, 1838. Located at Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois, by May 1839. Moved to Missouri, by 1849; to Nodaway Co., Missouri, by June 1850; and to Washington, De Kalb Co., Missouri, by June 1870. Moved to Stewartsville, De Kalb Co., by June 1880. Died at Stewartsville.
