BE IT REMEMBERED, that on the 17th. day of May183 1845 before the subscriber, of said county of , personally appeared Thomas Dixon—— and Samuel Dixon who severally acknowledged themselves to owe to the people of the state of , the sum of fifty Dollars, to be levied of their respective goods and chattels, lands and tenements, to the use of the said people, if default be made in the conditions following, to wit: Whereas the said has this day arrested the said Thomas Dixon— who is now in custody, upon anCapiasadRespondendum<attachment>, issued from the Circuit Court of said , upon an indictment pending in said court, against the said & others in the case of the People of the State of vs &, & & als——for the crime of Now, therefore, if the said Thomas Dixon <on His part> shall well and truly appear before the said Circuit Court, in and for the said county of , on the first day of the next term thereof to be holden at the Court House in , on the 13 3d. Monday of Maynext, then and there to answer the said indictment<attachment>, and abide the order of the court thereon, and not depart the court without leave thereof, then this recognizance shall be void and of none effect, otherwise to be in full force and virtue.
