Trial had before a detailed C[our]t Martial, Composed of , , , , , & — The was present, the acted as Secy. on this Trial, & presided. The Charge was, that the neglected or refused to give Orders for a Court of Assessment on the 14th. of May, & also for a Court of Appeals on the 28th. of May in his Reg[imen]t., after the General Parade on the 7th. of May 1842, & thereby depriving the of the use of the Funds which would have been Assessed, & has suffered delinquents to escape Justice, all done in open violation of an Ordinance of the Court Martial of said Legion.— The Charge was read.— <also> The Ordinance “of the Court Martial” passed March 12th. 1842.
The admitted his guilt in not appointing giving Orders as above charged agst. [against] him,— The expressed his Sentiments on the Case, & the Members of the Ct. Martial gave in their Verdict with their respective Signatures Attached, & the Court then dispersed.—
