And whereas the undersigned was appointed a special commissioner to sell and convey said lands under said decree first giving due notice of the time place and terms of said sale and of the property to be sold, and whereas as such commissioner I gave due notice of said sale as required in said decree by advertisement of the time place and terms of said sale of the property to be sold by publication for four weeks successively in the Quincy Whig and Popular Tribune two newspapers published one in the County of and other in the County of in said State of the first of said publication in each paper being more than five weeks prior to said sale and stating in said advertisement that said sale would be made on the 8h day of April AD 1851. in front of the public house Known as the in the City of in said . And whereas I did on the said 8h day of April AD 1851, offer for said sale in said City of at the place aforesaid at public to the highest bidder for cash the premises aforesaid in separate parcels as heretofore described according to the direction of said decree and as set forth in said advertisement, And whereas at said sale Bryant Gilbride of became the purchaser of South East quarter of section Twenty six Township Seven North range Eight West bidding therefor the sum of twenty dollars which was the highest bidder made for the same. Now therefore Know all men by these presents that I Special Commissioner as aforesaid acting under said decree in consideration of the premises and of the sum of Twenty Dollars to me paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Bryant Gilbride his heirs and assigns the following [p. 72]
