Administrator’s Letters.
THE STATE OF OHIO,)
Lake County, SS. [scilicet])
I, Judge of the Probate Court, within and for said County of Lake, in the name and by the authority of the State of , do, by these presents, Make Known, that administration of all and singular the goods, chattels, rights and credits, which were of Joseph Smith Jr deceased, late of [blank] in said County, is hereby granted to whose duty it shall be to have all and singular the said goods and chattels inventoried and appraised by George Frank & Dexter Damon three suitable disinterested persons of said County, under oath affirmation: and ,
First: Shall make and return into said Court, an oath, within three months, a true inventory of all the moneys, goods, chattels, rights and credits of the deceased, which have or shall come to his possession or knowledge, and also, if required by said Court, an inventory of the real estate of the deceased.
Second: Shall administer according to law, all the moneys, goods, chattels, rights and credits of the deceased, and the proceeds of all his real estate that may be sold for the payment of his debts, which shall at any time come to his possession,or to the possession of any other person for him
Third: Shall render upon oath, a true account of his administration within eighteen months, and at any other times when required by said Court or the law.
Fourth: Shall pay any balance remaining in his hands upon the settlement of his accounts, to such person as the Court or the law shall direct. And,
Fifth: Shall deliver the letters of administration into said Court, in case any Will of the deceased shall hereafter be duly proved and allowed.
And we do hereby appoint the said Adminstrator of all singular the said goods, chattels, rights, credits, and estate which were of the said Joseph Smith Jr in his life time.
