Roundy submitted a claim to the Nauvoo City Council dated 27 August 1842. The claim was discussed at the 26 September 1842 council meeting and was approved by a resolution on 8 October 1842. Presumably the order was written after the approval, though Sloan dated it 27 Aug. 1842. The transaction was recorded in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger with the date 27 August 1842.
