There is an entry recorded 19 February 1845 in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger for $1.00 for an order to Benjamin Jones dated 4 October 1844. There is another entry recorded 20 February 1845 for $9.00 for three orders to Jones. There are four extant pay orders for $1.00 to Jones dated 4 October 1844. Any of the four orders could correspond to either of those ledger entries. Jones’s account in the ledger notes twelve orders on collector dated 4 October 1844 totaling $41.00. This and the five other extant pay orders for Jones dated 4 October 1844 likely correspond to six of those twelve orders.
