There are no entries recorded in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger that correspond to the two extant orders for $1.00 dated 21 August 1844 to George Clyde. There are two entries recorded 13 and 19 February 1845 for $2.00 orders dated 21 August 1844. Clyde’s account in the ledger notes nine orders on collector dated 20 August 1844 totaling $20.00. Possibly this and the other 21 August 1844 pay order correspond to two of those nine orders.
