Biography
22 Jan. 1784–10 Jan. 1876. Farmer. Born in Randolph Co., North Carolina. Son of William Allred and Elizabeth Thrasher. Married Elizabeth Warren. Moved to Missouri, before Sept. 1832. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by George M. Hinkle, 10 Sept. 1832, in Missouri. Participated in Camp of Israel expedition to Missouri, 1834. Ordained a high priest by JS. Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, by July 1840. Member of Nauvoo Legion. Member of Nauvoo Agricultural and Manufacturing Association. Appointed to Nauvoo high council, 8 Apr. 1841. Moved to Council Point, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, by 1850. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley, Sept. 1851. Settled area now known as Spring City, Sanpete Co., Utah, Mar. 1852. Died in Spring City.
