This day again came the People aforesaid by Esq. who prosecutes in this behalf and the Said defendants as well in their proper persons as by their counsel and also came at the same time the seven Jurors elected and sworn herein on yesterday to wit Jesse Griffitts William Robertson Joseph M. Jones William Smith Joseph Massey Silas Griffitts and Jonathan Foy and the said thereupon returned into court the Issued herein as yesterday with their return thereon in obedience to the command of the said writ. in Whereby it appears that the following named persons were Summoned to appear as Jurors to wit <James Geddings Jacob Lionberger Samuel Cogswell Samuel A Stephenson Newton Cothern Frederick M Walton Solomon J. Hill James Galloway William Griffitts Samuel Steel William Sailors Ami Clarke Samuel Neff Jesse Gilman Thomas Branham Michael Hilderbrand William Grubb Joseph Lamborth Joseph Lionberger Francis Lofton James Kimbrough George C. Waggoner and Jabez A. Beebe [Beebe]> who being called at the bar Severally appeared answered to their names and gave their attendance accordingly and thereupon the following named persons were mutually elected by the parties aforesaid and sworn upon the Jury to wit Solomon J. Hill James Geddings Frederick M. Walton and Jabez A Beebe and there not yet being a Sufficient number of qualified persons to complete the pannel of the Jury by reason of the Challengis of the parties respectively as aforesaid It is Ordered that an Pleuries Venira Facies Issue to the said Elisors commanding them to summon and return into court without delay twenty four of like good and lawful men of the County aforesaid for the purpose of enabling the said parties herein to complete the pannel as aforesaid Whereupon the said Elisors Summoned and Returned into court in obedience to the Command of the Said Writ the following named persons to wit as such Jurors to wit William Metcalf Jesse W. Taylor Larkin Scott Arthur Cannon Edward Jones Jonathan C. W[r]ight William W. Handy Lewis Ray Shelby Houston Peter Comer Charles M Thompson James Beams Andrew More Gilmore Callison Derrick Fuller Richard Cannon William G. McCants Squire R. Davis John Gillmore John Mackiener James G. Swan John P. Haggard James Currey and Joseph Cravens who being Severally called at the Bar. appeared answered to their names and gave their attendance respectively except James Beams who was excused by the Court he being over age and exempt by Law— And thereupon the following named [p. 274]
