1844 Friday May 10 Rode out after breakfast to the prarie to sell some brethren <some land.>
<The> A Court Martial was held in the Mayor’s on the charge against , Surgeon General, for unbecoming and unofficer-like conduct &c Present Brigadier General Brigadier General , presiding. The charges were sustained and F The Following was issued from <distributed among> the people by the Apostates:—a “Prospectus <A Prospectus> <of the Nauvoo Expositor> (see File <June 10> .” (with date.)
The Jury of <Ill;> awarded me <$40> damages & <the> costs against and for illegal imprisonment & abuse by <which I suffered from> them last June in that .
11th. At 10 A M, I attended City Council, and staid till half past 11, but there not being a quorum, adjourned until next regular Session. At one P M, at my ; <& had a conversation with M. Lyons <Lyne> on the theatre> and at 6 P M attended prayer meeting; , and present. Several showers of rain during the day. The had a <Company> Muster. this morning
12th. At 10 A M, I preached at the . The following minutes of my discourse were taken by my clerk, :—

My brother & also addressed the saints.
My brother received an anonymous letter supposed to have been written by , threatening his life and calling upon him to make his peace with God, for he would soon have to die.
13th. Heavy thundershowers during the night. At 3 P M, I attended prayer meeting in the Council Room; & were present; the room was full, and we all prayed for deliverance from our enemies, and exaltation to such offices as will enable the servants of God to execute righteousness in the earth.

13. Heavy thunder showers during the night. At 10 A M, went to my and conversed with several of the brethren. Sold 100 acres of land, received $300 in cash, and his note for $1000, and $20 for the .
