said deed is herewith filed marked exhibit “P” and made a part of this answer.
And Respondant Isaac Sanders, says that he obtained the possession of said premises last above in the paragraph described by virtue of his said several purchasers bona fide made, and claims the same in fee and all interest of the said Joseph Smith deceased by devisee rights and conveyances through and under him and persons acting as trustees of said Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and successors in office of said Smtih decd. after his death, bona fide and which are too numerous and complicated to set forth in this answer.
And these respondants further answering say as to said lots No. 1, 2, and 4 in Block 158.
This paragraph relates to respondant Napolean Perry
That on the 19th. day of June 1849 said and Lewis C. Bidaman her said husband by their deed of that date conveyed said last named lots for a valuable consideration therein named and then paid therefor, to respondants a copy of which said deed (the original not being in the power or control of Respondant to produce) duly certified from the records of the Recorders Office of said County of , is herewith filed marked exhibit “Q” and made a part of this answer
That afterwards on the 4th. day of January 1850 said by his deed of that date conveyed the same premises to respondant Napolean Perry for a valuable consideration in said deed named and then paid therefor, which said deed is herewith filed marked exhibit “R” and made a part of this answer.
Respondants further state that said Joseph Smith deceased on the 7th. day of March 1843 by his deed of that date for a valuable consideration in said deed named conveyed all his interest in the South half and the North East 1/4 of said lot No. 2 in said Block 158 to one Gilbert Go[u]ldsmith, a copy of which said deed (the original thereof not being in the power or control of Respondants to produce) duly certified from the records of the Recorder’s Office of said County of is herewith filed marked exhibit “T” and made a part of this answer.
That said Joseph Smith deceased on the 10th. day of March 1843 by his deed of that date for a valuable consideration in said deed named, conveyed all his interest in said lot number four (4) in said Block 158 to one , a copy of which said deed (the original thereof not being in the control or power of Respondants to produce) duly certified from the records of the Recorder’s Office of said which two said deeds are herewith filed marked exhibit (“W”) and made a part of this answer.
