General Court Martial met according to <the> laws of the at the at ten o’clock A. M. and proceeded to buisness by appointing Col Secratary.
The following buisness was then transacted to, wit:
That Lieutenant General be allowed a guard of sixty-four <men,> in addition to this the present Staff and guard; which he is <now> allowed by law, to be organized, armed, and equiped as he may direct, to continue during his continuence in office
A letter was then read by from requesting a fine to be remitted which had been assessed against in the 5th Regt 2nd Cohort last Spring which was refered to the appropriate Colonel for him to act according to the laws made and provided in such cases.
An account was then presented by which had against the Nauvoo Legion for writing out some forms of bonds for arms &c for the Legion, amounting to one dollar & fifty cents, which was allowed.
Also an account which J. F. Merryweather had against the Legion for powder, candles, &c amounting to two dollars and Sixty-eight cents which was allowed
Also that be allowed ten dollars for his Services as agent for the Nauvoo Legion, for the collection of fines and that the sum of twenty-six dollars and twenty nine cents which he paid for the Legion be refunded to him, all of accounts are to be paid out of any money in the Treasurey not other wise appropriated.
