I dont know of any other person <being> under guard— I dont know how many men guarded me. the whole company would have watched me I laid down & went to sleep There is statements in Book I made I dont know of any fact in the Book but, what I did not give— one manuscript. & I myself took to printer to —
If I went to dictait or tell the fact though they would be the same substantively as in the Book— I came up with Company within 4 miles of . P I got to put the advertising in Nauvoo Neighbor— I ordered the notice of the Book as a correct description of the affair the same as I should tell the same aff[air]— Volunteers were called for to come to to kill the Smith’s in disbanding troops— men detached early in the morning cannot say how early— [p.
