Dont know what kind of horses were in the carriage came in— Did not See James Gregs come into the house— did not notice what the color of the horses was— the friend to whom I told it was Susan Wann— never heard until last Wednesday that I was to be called as a witness— never had any conversation with any one about being examined as a witness in this case—
Since last wednesday that Gentleman () has conversed with me about it since— he told me to tell the truth, and to tell all I knew about it— I have not had many conversations about it Since the Smiths were killed— never Saw Mr. Daniels— until I Saw him here in — I reside with my fathers family in — Theres was nothing Said in my Fathers family about my being a witness until last wednesday— when I spoke to my father in about it. I mentioned the names of Grover & , but told him not to say any thing about it— he said he would not— It is about 6 weeks since I told it to my friend Susan Wann— It is a Subject not a great deal talked about in — Dont know where Mr. Genung lives— he was in when I left there— has <have> seen him twice since— has talked about it to Genung— never told him what Grover & said— supposed he heard what was said as well as myself— The reason he did not talk to me more fully about it— was because I told him I did not want to hear any thing about it— [p. 59]
