I went up to the fence— near the corner— I saw 1 or 2 wounded men saw 2— wounded men— that I saw 3 wounded men— did not see more than 3— I had seen them before in — [John] Wills was one of them. dont know the names of the rest. one came out into the street Wills— & said his arm was shot <on> to pieces— dont know that they were mortally wounded— never saw them since— did not see the wounds of the other 2— saw the blood coming out of arm— one said Jo shot him. He said he shot through the door— When the call was made to go to the window I went up that way towards . the men went around to the window. I dont know how the wounded men got away expect they went off a foot— Voohres [William Voras] was shot in the shoulder He shot, afterwards, at Smith holding the gun in both hands— saw Smith when he fell out the window— He fell out— saw him hanging in the window— feet out body out hung by hands & feet— no person shot at him while hanging there— then told them to shoot him— lay on back & turned over on his face on ground— one man rushed up to him & said old Jo I know you this is old Jo— held him up had not been shot then think he had fainted— [p.
