this was between 10 & 3 oclock & were on horse back— I do not recollect about seeing Grover— do not know whether was on horseback— the last place I saw was North of Marshs field going towards alone
I was said Publickly either by or Campt Wyear [Captain Wier] that those who were going to would advance one step in front was on horseback and he might have been on foot too— was of some 50 to 100 feet from the men when the divison took place the Capt was in front when the command to advance was given and I believe that was in front to— I should think were between 40 & 200 when the order was given— there wer two companies present— Cannot say whether before the troops were disbanded or gen Knox commanded— read the Disb order— ther were afterwards said that those who would go to would fall in behind the musick and march round— I do not know who made the remark about the Jail— there was a good said about the mormons but what it was I cannot recollect— I did not hear rais any opposition to comming to — [1/4 page blank] [p.
