[2 words illegible] many to breakfast as at supper— & Grover wear regular boarders at that house and were not there at supper time and Grover were at the door when they called for supper— the wounded set by the stove not quite an hour— none come there and talked to him— I knew the man who was wounded he was William Vorus [Voras] his parents lived on & I had seen him before— I heard no person say how he got wounded— I heard no person say anything about it the next morning— do not know how maney stood guard— they got to bed about 2 o clock It was a general talk amongst that crout [crowd?] was about killing Smith I cannot say about any any one of them I was in and out— when came Mrs F met him in the hall and he said he wanted water that he had come from in less than an hour and that we had finished the head men of the morman Church— Mrs Dearbourn [Dearborn] came down when supper was nearly ready— she helped us g[e]t supper [p.
