widow of Joseph Smith deceased and Lewis C. Bidamon of Illinois of the first part, and the of the other part witnesseth, that whereas at the December term of the Circuit Court of the United States for the District of , in a certain cause therein pending on the side thereof, wherein, the said were (plaintiffs) complainants, and et al, were defendants, a decree was entered against the lands hereinafter described and ordering the sale thereof subject to the dower of the said therein and decreeing that she be endowed of the one third thereof during her natural life, and further decreeing that in case the said should relinquish her dower in said premises that then the whole of said premises be sold and one six part of the proceeds thereof applied and paid over to the said in consideration of said release and in satisfaction of said claim for dower and in lien of her dower therein. Whereas also the said and Lewis C. her husband consent to take the said one sixth of the proceeds of the sales of said premises.
Now therefore in consideration of the premises the said partys of the first part do hereby remise, release and forever unto the said parties of the second part all the interest and right of dower hereby fully relinquishing the same in and to the following described property situate in Illinois to wit:—

Lots 1 and 2 on Block 99, Lots 1, 2 and 3 on Block 100, Lot 1 on Block 101, Lot 1 on Block 102, Blocks 103, 104, 105 and 106, Lots 1, 3 and 4 and L. 2 except the North 61¾ feet wide of N. W. qr. on Block 107, Lot 4, the North qr. of Lot 3, and Lot 2 except 50 feet square on the North West corner on Block 108, Lots 2 and 3 on Block 109, Block 110, Lots 1, 2 and 3 on Block 111, Lots 1, 2 and 3, on Block 112, Blocks 113, 115, 128, 129, Block 1, 2 and 4, on Block 131, Lot 3 on Block 134, Lots 1 and 2 on Block 135, Blocks 136 and 137, Lots 1, 2 and Lot 3 except the East 75 ft. wide on Block 150, Lots 2 and 3 on Block 151, Block 153, in Illinois according to the plat of said town, together with all the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto <thereunto> attached so far as the same are vested in said as such widow.
To have and to hold the same unto the said parties of the second part or their assigns as fully as the said now holds or could hold the same during her natural life had this relinquishment not been made. [p. 655]
