December 1849 by his deed of that date for the consideration of one hundred dollars then paid conveyed the same premises to Respondant
Which said deed is herewith filed, marked exhibit “K” and made a part of this answer.
And then obtained the possession of said Casey who claimed the title thereto in fee.
Respondants further show that said Joseph Smith in his lifetime on the 11th. day of May 1842 by his deed of that date for a valuable consideration in said deed named, conveyed all his interest in said premises to one , a copy of which said deed (the original thereof not being in the control or power of respondees to produce) duly certified from the records of the Recorder’s Office of said County of , is herewith filed marked exhibit “L” and made a part of this answer.
This paragraph relates to respondants Abner Powers and Silas G. Strong.
These Respondants for further answer say
That as to the North 75 feet or 75 feet off the North side of said lot 3 Block 124, on the 9th. day of February 1850, one Richard M. Mills by his deed of that date conveyed said premises last mentioned to Respondants Silas G. Strong and Abner Powers for the consideration of one hundred dollars in said deed expressed then paid.
Which said deed is herewith filed marked exhibit (“M”) and made a part of this answer
That on the 13th. day of July 1849 the said and her said husband Lewis C. Bidamon by their deed of that date for a valuable consideration therein named conveyed the same premises to the said Richard M. Mills, a copy of which deed, (the original thereof not being the control or power of Respondants to produce) duly certified from the records of the Recorders of the said County of is in this cause filed with the answer of Daniel Elliott and others, marked exhibit “L” and made a part thereof, and which is here referred to and made a part of this answer.
And also that on the 30th. day of March A. D. 1843 the said Joseph Smith now deceased for the consideration of three hundred dollars, conveyed all his interest in the same premises to one , a copy of which said deed, duly certified from the records of the recorder’s office of said County of (the original thereof not being in the power or control of respondants to produce,) as in this cause filed with the answer of Lorenzo [Laurenz] Risse and others marked exhibit “N” and made a part thereof, and which is here referred to and made a part of this answer.
These Respondants further answer.
